1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of MyDateLog, including our mobile applications, APIs, websites, and related services. By creating an account, using the service, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use MyDateLog. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the service is lawful where you are located.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the security of your account.
You may not impersonate another person, misrepresent your identity, or access another user's account without authorization.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe your account is being used unlawfully, abusively, fraudulently, or in violation of these Terms.

4. Service Description

MyDateLog is a journaling and insight product that lets users record dates, upload photos, contact support, and access AI-assisted interpretations and subscription-based features. Some features may change, be limited, or be removed over time.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Some features require a paid auto-renewing subscription.
The subscription gives access to premium functionality for the billing period shown in the purchase flow, including higher usage limits where stated in the app.
Payment will be charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Your subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, or under the rules of the relevant app store.
Your account will be charged for renewal within the period disclosed by the relevant app store before the current period ends.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings after purchase.
If you change plans, restore purchases, or switch devices, entitlement status may take a short time to synchronize.
Refunds, billing disputes, and store-specific consumer rights are handled by Apple or Google where the purchase was made, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

6. Free Tier and Usage Limits

We may offer a limited free tier with a cap on the number of dating logs or other actions available without a subscription.
Premium plans may also include usage caps per billing cycle, such as limits on the number of new dating logs that can be created in a month.
We may update plan structures, feature sets, and usage limits from time to time, but changes will apply prospectively unless required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit, including dating logs, notes, photos, and support messages. You grant MyDateLog a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the service.

You are responsible for the content you submit and for making sure you have the rights to submit it.
You must not upload content that violates privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or applicable law.
You must not upload private information about another person unless you have a lawful basis and the right to do so.

8. Community Rules

No harassment, threats, hate, non-consensual sexual content, doxxing, spam, fraud, or unlawful content.
No attempts to scrape, harvest, reverse engineer, or abuse the service, APIs, subscriptions, or safety systems.
No automated access or bulk activity that interferes with normal product operation.
We may review, limit, remove, or moderate content and may suspend related features or accounts to protect users and the service.

9. AI Features

AI-generated content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or unsuitable for important personal, medical, financial, legal, or safety decisions.
You remain responsible for how you interpret, share, or act on any AI output.
We may use third-party AI providers to process the information required to generate these features.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and retain personal data. By using the service, you acknowledge that processing will occur as described there.

If you use Google Maps Platform or Google Places-powered features in the service, including date location search and birth place autocomplete, our Privacy Policy also describes how we use optional location permission, place search data, and related third-party service providers.

11. Intellectual Property

MyDateLog, our software, branding, interface elements, and all related intellectual property are owned by or licensed to MyDateLog. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you.

12. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion through the app where available.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, expose us to legal liability, or misuse the service.
Termination does not affect provisions that should survive by their nature, including payment obligations already incurred, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions.

13. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, the accuracy of AI output, or the availability of any specific feature at any given time.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyDateLog and its affiliates, service providers, officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the entity operating MyDateLog, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence require otherwise.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and update the effective date shown above. Continued use of the service after the revised Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
